In Strasbourg, France, see the red-sandstone gothic cathedral, astronomical clock, and the old streets of the Jewish quarter. Stroll through the lovely shops, bistros, and waterfront promenade of the La Petite France district. Stop in Breisach, Germany, the gateway to Germany’s Black Forest—an area of unrivaled natural beauty—best known for Black Forest ham, cherry cake, and the cuckoo clock. Explore the gastronomic capital of France in Lyon’s Old Town with its maze of medieval alleyways. Continue to the twin cities of Tournon and Tain l’Hermitage beautifully nestled among vineyards. In Avignon, visit the Palace of the Popes and take pictures of the bridge in the famous song “Sur le pont d’Avignon.” You’ll cruise to Arles, the inspiring setting for artists such as Vincent Van Gogh. After your cruise, you’ll travel via high-speed train to Nice for your final two nights in France. Here, you’ll walk through the Old Town and the Promenade des Anglais, Nice’s most famous boulevard.
