8 Day River Cruise Paris to Paris
This fabulous river cruise begins and ends in Paris, with a spectacular cruise to Normandy. You’ll sail from Paris to Vernon with your choice of two included excursions—a guided visit to master impressionist Claude Monet’s home and gardens at Giverny, or a guided tour of the remarkable Bizy Castle, known as “Normandy’s Versailles.” You’ll sail through the picturesque and historic landscapes of Normandy, with the choice to visit the historic sites of the famed WWII landing beaches, and moving monuments to Allied forces, or you may explore the farming region for a “Taste of Normandy.”

In Rouen, site of Saint Joan of Arc’s martyrdom, take a guided walk through the medieval quarter and visit the Gothic Rouen Cathedral—once the tallest building in the world. You might choose a full-day excursion to the Vimy Ridge and Beaumont-Hamel areas, where the Canadian Forces prevailed over German forces in WWI. From Conflans, join in an excursion to the quaint and inspiring town of Auvers-Sur-Oise—inspired setting for several famous artists, including Vincent van Gogh—or visit Napoleon and Josephine’s Malmaison. Your Seine River cruise returns to Paris with more time to explore the romantic city. Discover the true heart of Paris on a guided walk through the sites of Paris’ rich history, or take a tour to see its iconic landmarks, including the Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and more.

Day 2 Vernon–Les Andelys: Choice of excursions to Giverny or Bizy Castle or walk with your Adventure Host; onboard crêpe tasting; onboard history presentation; choice of guided walk or guided hike in Les Andelys

Day 3 Caudebec: Choice of excursion along the “Normandy Abbeys Route” or visit the V-1 launch bomb site, or bike with your Adventure Host; onboard D-Day lecture

Day 4 Caudebec: Choice of full-day excursions to Normandy landing beaches or “A Taste of Normandy” excursion

Day 5 Rouen: Choice of guided sightseeing, see the Astronomical Clock and visit the cathedral or bike tour or full-day excursion to Vimy and Beaumont-Hamel; onboard history lecture

Day 6 Conflans: Choice of excursions to Auvers-sur-Oise, or Napoleon and Josephine’s Château de Malmaison or bike with your Adventure Host

Day 7 Paris: Choice of guided sightseeing, or historic sights on “Heart of Paris” walking tour, or WWII theme tour with visit to Museum of Les Invalides or walk with your Adventure Host

Day 8 Paris (Disembarkation): Your cruise ends this morning
