  • Due to the weight restriction on your flight to and from the Gobi Desert, your main luggage will be securely stored at the Ulaanbaatar hotel. You will therefore need to carry a small overnight bag with your clothing and amenities for your stay in the Gobi Desert.

Accommodations in the Gobi Desert
In the Gobi you will be staying in a traditional ger, a round dwelling with a wooden frame. Your ger is comfortably furnished with modern twin beds and furniture, yet it retains traditional décor. A natural ventilation system helps it stay cool in the heat of the day, and a stove provides heat at night.

A private bathroom with hot water is located in a room adjoining your ger. Shared shower facilities are located in the main lodge building.

Please note that some amenities, features and enhancements are only available on 2011 river and small-ship cruise departures.
