Free Airport Transfers for Air-Inclusive Vacations*
When you book your Avalon vacation air-inclusive, the transfers to and from the airport to the first hotel or your cruise ship and from the last hotel or your cruise ship back to the airport are included. This can represent a substantial savings and will also give you peace of mind.
Land/cruise-only clients who make their own air arrangements on regularly scheduled direct or nonstop flights (but not chartered flights) into international terminals may reserve our airport transfer service (described above). Have your Travel Agent ask the Avalon reservations staff about availability and prices at time of booking and fax (303.703.7060) or send a photocopy of your transatlantic air itinerary with arrival and departure flights and dates plus your Avalon invoice number to the Avalon Transfer Department. Flight details should be sent apart from other correspondence or payment and must be received no later than five weeks prior to departure.
*Note: Some cruise-only vacations do not include free airport transfers and in some cases, transfers may not be available for purchase. Please discuss your specific transfer options with our Travel Consultants.

As a completely independent cruise operator, we have no ties to any one airline. We have negotiated the lowest possible airfares with the world's finest carriers on behalf of our travelers. Plus, Avalon's buying power means generally better rates for you.

We offer low airfares for all of the destinations on our Web site from cities across the U.S. Call our Travel Consultants for information.
Various domestic and international taxes and fees are not included in the vacation price. These taxes and fees will be added to your air-inclusive invoice as a single, per-person charge. Taxes and fees are subject to change without notice and will be quoted at time of booking.
How We Select Your Flights
Since seats for our low-cost airfares fill quickly, we urge you to book early. Air-inclusive reservations cannot be made later than 10 days prior to departure for Europe and Egypt, 38 days prior to departure for China, and 40 days prior to departure for the Galápagos Islands. Additional rules may apply. Ask our Travel Consultants for details. Although we will try, Avalon cannot always honor carrier or flight preferences.
Air tickets will be received by your Travel Agent two to three weeks prior to vacation departure. For late bookings, tickets are sent overnight after final payment is received. Your Travel Agent may then contact your air carrier for special service requests such as seat assignments and special meals, or, if applicable, to advise your frequent flyer number. Please retain your ticket copy in the event you need it later for proof of your flight; we are unable to supply ticket copies after your return.
Guaranteed Air-Inclusive Prices
An additional $250 non-refundable deposit is required for any air booked in conjunction with a land/cruise vacation. However, once your airfare is confirmed and Avalon has received your full air and land/cruise deposit, your air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed. Air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land/cruise vacation.
Please remember, Avalon reserves the right to ticket passengers upon receipt of full land/cruise and air deposit; thus, any subsequent changes and/or revisions to airline reservations at your request after receipt of full land/cruise and air deposit are subject to revision fees and/or airline-imposed change or cancellation fees. Generally, these fees are up to $250, but in some instances may be up to 100% of the ticketed price. Please ask if any such charges apply before making changes, as all changes at your request are payable by you.

Premium/Business-Class pricing available for most destinations, either on a one-way or round-trip basis.

Air-Inclusive Vacations
Air-inclusive prices do not include a September 11th Security Fee of up to $10, passenger facility charges of up to $18, Federal domestic flight segment fees of up to $3.70 per segment, and U.S. and International arrival and departure and other government-imposed fees of up to $375, depending on your itinerary. Current taxes and fees will be provided to you based on carrier and schedule chosen. Your final air-inclusive vacation price is not guaranteed until your air schedule has been confirmed and your full air and land/cruise deposit have been received by Avalon.
Not Included In Your Vacation Price (Air-Inclusive, Land-Only or Cruise-Only)
Federal inspection fees for the Federal U.S. Customs and Immigrations; International Air Transportation tax; agricultural tax; other per person taxes imposed by government entities: port taxes; passports; visas and vaccinations; tips to your Tour or Cruise Director, Local Host, driver, Local Guides, and/or ships' crew; gratuities on ferries, trains, and cruise ships; laundry; telephone; minibar; alcohol, beverages, and food outside of the contracted Globus menu as presented at a hotel or restaurant (these extra items will be billed to you before leaving the hotel, ship, or restaurant); additional excursions and activities not listed as 'included' in the itinerary; airport transfers on non-qualifying flights; porterage at airports and train stations; Travel Protection premiums; excess baggage fees; and all other items of a personal nature.
