Free airport transfers on air-inclusive vacations
When you book your Avalon vacation air-inclusive, the transfer to and from the airport to the first hotel or your cruise ship and from the last hotel or your cruise ship back to the airport is included. This can represent a substantial savings and also give you peace of mind. Transfers will be provided only if confirmed by Avalon. Look for confirmation of your transfer in your “Important Travel Documents.” Land-only clients who make their own air arrangements on regularly scheduled direct or nonstop transatlantic flights (but not chartered flights) into international terminals may reserve our airport transfer service (described above). Have your travel agent ask the Avalon reservation staff about availability and prices at time of booking and fax (303.703.7060) or send a photocopy of your transatlantic air itinerary with arrival and departure flights and dates, plus your invoice number, to the Avalon Transfer Department. Flight details should be sent apart from other correspondence or payment and must be received no later than five weeks prior to departure.

Air fares
We offer air fares for all of the destinations in this brochure from cities across the U.S. Call our Travel Consultants for information. Any changes and/or revisions to airline flights may affect your air-inclusive price.Various domestic and international taxes and fees are not included in the vacation price. These taxes and fees will be added to your air-inclusive invoice as a single per person charge. Taxes and fees are subject to change without notice and will be quoted at time of booking.
How we select your flights
Since seats for our low-cost airfares fill quickly, we urge you to book early. Air-inclusive reservations cannot be made later than 10 days prior to departure for Europe and Egypt, 38 days prior to departure for China, and 40 days prior to departure for the Galápagos Islands. Additional rules may apply. Ask our Travel Consultants for details. Although we will try, Avalon cannot always honor carrier or flight preferences. Air tickets will be received by your travel agent two to three weeks prior to vacation departure. For late bookings, tickets are sent overnight after final payment is received. Your travel agent may then contact your air carrier for special service requests, such as seat assignments and special meals, or if applicable, to advise your frequent flyer number. Please retain your ticket copy in the event you need it later for proof of your flight; we are unable to supply ticket copies after your return.
We also accept your reservation on a land-only basis
While booking your vacation, air-inclusive gives you all the advantages described here. You can also choose the land-only option, but remember: airlines’ special fares generally apply to very brief periods. (Our low air-inclusive fares apply throughout the year). Plus, to get these “deals” you often are required to pay the full fare at the time of booking.
Taxes and Fees
Taxes and surcharges are subject to change and are not guaranteed until full payment is received and ticketed.
Applicable Airfare Taxes and Fees
Air prices do not include government imposed taxes and fees, including a September 11 fee of up to $10, passenger facility charges of up to $18, and Federal domestic flight segment fees of up to $3.40 per segment. Additionally, U.S. and International arrival and departure fees of up to $300 may apply, depending on your itinerary.
